ECost sold me junk and won't help

I bought a PC from eCost 11/09. It had been marketed having a 12 months guarantee in the producer (HP). It came and did not function, and so I named eCost. Their representative explained eCost was not accountable, that I ought to contact horsepower about my guarantee. I named horsepower and spoke to 3 repetitions, each informing me horsepower doesn't provide such guarantees. I named eCost back and also the repetition explained to contact horsepower again.
