HUGE SCAM!"Dummy" Company will charge your credit card claiming to be billing for Microsoft Internet Security Tools! Amsterdam

Internet & Web

On November 18 I was prompted to purchase internet security software because my computer was "unprotected". I was prompted to purchase Microsoft Internet Security Tools for $49.95. After I entered my credit card information, my computer malfunctioned and I could not get it to do anything. I contacted Dell and they stated that my computer had a virus (which I now believe is linked these people). Furthermore, I did not have any type of internet security software on my computer. I contacted Microsoft because I was under the impression that I had purchased Microsoft Internet Security Tools, but Microsoft stated that they had no record of my order and were not affiliated with this company. After a lot of searching I got their number (1-800-350-6821). I spoke to a so-called rep who took 10 digits of my credit card to search for my order. After a few minutes on "hold" he stated that unfortunately their database was down. He said that once they found my order, my refund would be processed within 5 days. Yeah Right! I am disputing the charges with my bank, filing a complaint with the BBB, and contacting Microsoft to let them know that these people are tarnishing their name.
