Aol
Ripoff and double-billing scam liars

Internet & Web

According to AOL records (on-line) my last billing date was May 19th. I checked to make sure it went through. When it did, I called the supposed Personal Services line and cancelled my AOL account.

The representative tried to talk me into staying with them (of course) and I said no. She also mentioned I get one free month in order to notify contacts of my new e-mail. I said I don't want it.

As of May 19th I have not used AOL. On my bank statement the amount of $28.90 was taken from my checking account on May 22nd. If they had already billed me on the 19th, why was there another billing 3 days later?

Fortunately, after I cancelled on May 19th, I put a stop-payment on anything from them coming through my checking account, so now I just got a bill that I owe them $28.90.

I paid my balance in full 12-15 before receiving statement. They have a hold on my account for the same amount. Payment cleared the bank on the 19th. They say up to 14 days to release the credit hold on the payment amount. Ripoff
