Dell Computer Doesn't stand behind their product!

In Jan. I went back to school... This particular school offered a Dell computer for $1695 that could be paid back through my student loan (by the time I get through paying for it, it will have cost me well over $2500). Anyway, I took the deal in March 0f '06...
I have had nothing but problems with it!!! It is a Latitude D610... It worked well for the first 6 months... I called the Service Dept. At Dell (which is what my school told me to do when I purchased it). Dell kept sending me back to my school to the IT Dept.???!!!
There was a 3 year warranty on it. I finished school in Sept. Of '07... in March '08 the Hard Drive failed... Okay, called Dell and they replaced it... With a REFURBISHED one? Then told me that anything that I had stored on the hard drive that I would have to take to someone who could "retrieve" the data, afterall they couldn't do that?!
In Feb."09 the hard drive died AGAIN!!! Less than a year???!!! Okay, same thing... Sent me a REFURBISHED hard drive?! Now here it isLESS than 8 months later and they can't help me??!! Hello!!?? Why? The warranty expired, I was told!
Maybe if they stood behind their equipment and provided QUALITY replacements, then maybe... Just maybe they wouldn't have so MANY complaints!!!
