Horrible service and refused to honor laptop warranty

I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau in California, but never received satisfaction. The problem was simple: The wireless card needed to be replaced. Gateway refused to do this because the recurring problem did not occur when they turned on the computer and they didn't even specifically check the wireless.

My issue was that it wouldn't crash, even if they had turned on the wireless (which I had disabled), when they only used it for a short period of time. It was only after I used the wireless for a while that it caused everything to crash. I wouldn't have realized the problem, but after the crashes a screen came up that said the problem was the wireless. I took a screenshot, but Gateway said they wouldn't replace the wireless and didn't care about the what I told them.

Finally, I asked them to at least give me a USB wireless card to use, but they refused. Clearly, they just don't care if their customers are satisfied. My computer was less than a year old, but it was nothing but trouble until I stopped using the installed wireless card.

Another problem was that Gateway sent a box for the computer to me using DHL— when it was going out of business. DHL didn't deliver it.

Gateway blamed me and told me I would be responsible for shipping the computer after that. We argued and went back and forth for a while. Finally, I agreed to pay for the packaging, if they would pay for the shipping.

You already know that the problem was never fixed, but what you don't know is that they broke the left button on the mouse and part of the casing for the computer was broken.

So, all in all, I wound up worse off than I was before sending them the computer.
