's warranties are worthless

I purchased a Gemstar 17" computer monitor which is marketed by Scanport, Inc. It came with a 2 year full warranty and a third year limited warranty. After 18 months something inside started to smell and the monitor quit working. They list no service facilities and have failed to respond to two requests for return for repair authourization. They won't stand behind their promises.
