Wish I had seen this... My investigating brought me here. Not knowing about these fake email from EBay, I proceeded with the purchase on 03/31.

I followed the directions as idicated by the "eBay financial Center" emails and the other crap that made me feel secure. I was to "received a tracking number from the seller once payment was confirmed by eBay. God, I screwed up. Lost $4,850 $140 to wire the money. I'm an idiot... How can I get this money back for Grandma? I was told by the eBay email that confirmation would take 12-24 hours; that was on 3/31/09.4 days later... I got nothing. So here I am, finding out what an idiot I am.
