I signed up for a 3 year Gold Membership and shortly after signing up discovered that they had pulled that credit card account information and given it to a "HomeSavings Mall" and started getting charged for membership that I didn't agree to. I contacted Classmates.com with the following:
As a result of discoving the fraud perpetrated by your company signing me up for "Home Shopping Mall" as well as various other "Rip-Off" reports, I'm cancelling my membership immediately. I'm asking that you prorate my membership, and email me whatever agreements were automatically enrolled that I was not aware of so that I can terminate any contractual obligations that your company may of also signed me up for as result.

Addionally I've cancelled the debit card that you have on file to perpetrate your fraud so that no other charges will be made on this account. I will also be posting my experience with your company with the thousands of other consumer complaintss made as a result of your criminal behavior. I received this response:

Hello XXXX, Thank you for contacting Classmates. I can understand your frustration and will do my best to address your concerns. I've confirmed that your membership is no longer enrolled in our automatic renewal program. You won't be charged again, and your Gold membership is scheduled to expire and revert to a free membership at the end of your current term. You may continue to use your Gold membership benefits until your current membership expires. Visit Your Account at the top or bottom of any Classmates page to review your expiration date and renewal option. According to our records you accepted an offer with one of our partners, Adaptive Marketing, who offers Home Savings Mall. When you completed your Classmates Gold membership purchase, you were presented with an opportunity to participate in a free trial offer with Home Savings Mall.in order for your Shopping Home Savings Mall membership to be activated you would have had to enter your email address twice and selected the "Yes" button.
