AT&T High Speed internet: NOT!

I have had their service since March. Things were great until late July, when I could not keep a connection for more than five minutes at a time and would be down for hours at a time. When I could get on, I may as well have had dial-up, as the connection was slow. August was even worse. Technician #1 came on a Sunday morning and seemed annoyed that he was working.

He said "it's a line problem, someone will follow up." No one did. Technician #2 said "you don't have enough memory to operate the modem" Hello, it is an EXTERNAL modem. Technician #3, a lead tech was the only one who seemed to know what he was doing. After having to "rebuild" my account, I was back up and running in early September. Oh, all of the "credits" I was getting? Never happened.

All was well until mid-January, when I started crashing on a daily basis, first for 1-2 hours at a time, then hours on end. When I finally got a connection, it was lost within 20 minutes. I was told that "they are doing maintenance in the area", then I was told "there are no outtages in your area". I am still experiencing the same thing, and now instead of having to wait 4 hours for a tech, I will now have to wait 6-8 hours.

On to DSL.
