Aka BIGGEST RIPOFF HughesNet is the biggest scam, service doesn't work, can't return modem, pay huge cancel fee Seattle

HughesNet, fka direcway, has always been slow. We had to pay big bucks for a dish; then the "6000 modem" was no longer working and we had to upgrade to the 7000 modem. It never worked. They then want a cancellation fee. The folks in India do not have anywhere in their system the ability to issue a ticket number to return a modem. The billing department needs a ticket number or else they charge a cancellation fee. This is the biggest scam since Mr. Ponzi was alive.
