Promotional price drop amounts to $300 loss for me!

On July 16, I ordered a DELL XPS One All-in-One Desktop PC online from DELL from my seasonal home in NH and paid $2,049 for it. The PC was delivered to my NH address on July 23. As of today, I've had the PC for 49 days.

As of yesterday, the identical PC on DELL online is selling for $1,749, which is $300 less than I paid. I emailed my DELL salesperson to request a price adjustment. He emailed back, "Unfortunately, we are unable to apply the current promotional price to your previous pruchase. Our system won't allow us to do that. If you want to check with customer care with any questions, you can contact them at 888-682-4382."

I phoned DELL Customer Care today and was told Dell would not make a price adjustment.

That $300 price difference really hurts ~ hurts me and surely not DELL. What is $300 to DELL? What is the value of a truly satisfied consumer to DEL Inc.?

I would really like DELL to make a price adjustment for me. Help! Help! Help!
