Another Victim to Event Gain - Six Channels ripoff They are polite and responsive at first but then don't deliver and then stop returning your phone calls. We lost $4,000 Boston, Massachusetts

Internet & Web

I chimed in on the original alert to this company (http://usacomplaints.com/reports/0/206/RipOff0206624.htm#188582) as I was researching this company as things started to go bad. As with Michael from Brooklyn, Steve Sujith, with EventGain of San Francisco (why the multiple company names and locations you ask???), have now defrauded me of $4000. We were not looking for email lists, per se, but rather industry research data - companies within specific industry verticals. They first two iterations of data the delivered was complete garbage - listing tiny mom and pop staffing agencies as having greater annual revenues than Monster.com. I went after them literally for months to get them to make good.

In the same manner, the polite excuses all get further and further apart until no response could be obtained from the company whatsoever. They have only 800# phone numbers that go into generic voice mail boxes, no people you can actually contact, and a number of different company/brand entities. Very, very shady.

And if you have the ba*s to respond Mr. Sujith, don't come on here and try to say that you've done anything to resolve this. You have not responded to a single email, phone call or fax since July 10th when your last communication stated "I apologize. I am expecting an answer from our data division today. I shall keep you posted. I know this is a lot time being spent unproductive for you and I apologize for the inconvenience."

I have now been forced to file a complaint with the bay area Better Business Bureau, which I've been notified has not been responded to, and am now communicating with the Attorney General's Office to see if a criminal conspiracy investigation can be initiated.
Beware - do not do business with this company.
