Worst customer support. Don't get fooled by 24/7. Can't use FTP

HostIcan seems like a very good choice for hosting simple websites at a cheap price. I got fooled by their offer becuase of the great amount of space and unmetered bandwidth. I started using the service an at first I started experiencing problems with some scripts causing my account to get blocked for a specific amount of time. I understood this and refrain from trying out scripts on their hosting but I soon discover that my worst problem was going to come from simply trying to upload files through any ftp client. I tried filezilla, cuteftp, transmit & fetch (first two on pc and the other two on mac) and If I ever tried to upload a large amount of files (like setting wordpress) I would get blocked out of my website at a certain point due to to much usage.

I got into the habit of contacting customer support and have them lift the block so I could continue uploading. They used to be pretty fast at responding (around 10 to 20 minutes which is not fast compared to other services) and I didn't complain because I assumed it was a price to pay for such space and unmetered bandwidth.

Recently, their customer support time has dropped to a very low standard in which I go four hours without a response, in which I can't upload files to my website, either by phone, email or their customer support chat.

To make matters worse, I have tried all this programs becuase they didn't have a clear answer as to what was causing my problem other than too many connections being used for ftp transfer and that I should try one of this applications. Of course after trying them lowering every connection setting I could find to the bare minimum I still get the same problems and no real response on how to fix it coming from them.

Don't be fooled by their cheap price. Remember that you get what you pay for.
