Antivirus2009 - Billingware
Billingware / anitvirus 2009 gave my computer viruses and charged me more than i approved Internet

As i was working online, i started getting virus alerts through avg, then things really want downhill. Virus pop-ups and "anit-virus" pop-ups all but crippled my computer.

Like some of the other people here who were scammed by this company, it also gave me messages making it look like this "anti-virus 2009" was recommended by microsoft, etc.

And so, stupidly, i fell for it. Clicked on their link to the webpage, (although it was a real challenge to get through the pop-ups and error messages) and entered my credit card number. The next screen i saw was a reciept, not for the $49.95 i had agreed to, but for that plus two other programs, which brought the payment they put through to over $100.

I contacted the bank, but they couldnt put a stop payment on it because it wasnt a check. I next contacted the company, and they basically told me to try the programs and that i would like them. I dont have a program!!! It didnt let me download it or anything, so ive been back and forth through e-mail with them, becoming increasingly aggitated by this situation.

They say they will not issue me a refund if there's nothing wrong with the program, even though i told them i dont want it. The program to get rid of their scam program/virus, i found via an online computer help forum, and downloaded and used successfully for FREE. It makes my blood boil, the things these people are allowed to get away with.

In short, do NOT, please do not fall for this particular program or others like it. You can probably find the solution to a virus problem for free, as opposed to doing like i did and sending the people who gave me this nasty virus money.

And to add insult to injury, i think they sold my e-mail address out because since that very DAY, ive been getting an absolutely unbelievable amount of junk and spam mail.
