Overcharged Charged Sent my account to collections after 1 month without contacting me

The company offered an inexpensive way to register domain names. After 1 year, they automatically charged me to renew the registration. My credit card information changed before the renewel and they were not able to charge me automatically.
They quickly sent my account to collections without contacting me. I received a letter in the mail from a collection agency demanding payment. The letter included penalties. I contacted the company to cancel the account.
The cancelation process was difficult. To cancel the account i needed access to the account i. E passowrd and login Id, follow excessive steps online, print, sign a form, and fax the document. I had to call 2 times to request a fax number that worked.
