Newsubscribe.com
Fraudulently charged my credit card

Internet & Web

I checked my credit card account online and saw under the date 7/28 a charge of $34.95 from www.newsubscribe.com, phone number 800-218-7159. This was a fraudulent charge as I hade not used my credit card to buy anything of that amount near when the date specified the charge.

I called the number of the website and found out that the charge was made by an adult website. I was flabbergasted as not only had someone probably sold my information but that it would be used to purchase a subscription to an adult website, and that they expected me not to notice.

I demanded they cancel my subscription and give me a refund. They told me I had to write an email to support@memberhelper.com and detail the reason I needed a refund. I had told the service personnel that took my call that the charge was fraudulent and they still tried to give me the run around.

So I wrote the e-mail and am waiting for a response and whether they will give back what they stole from me.
