SEO at it's worst! Who says you get what you paid for? Search Engine Optimization, Nevada Internet

We were solicited by MainStreet Host for Search Engine Optimization which they claimed they offer. The cost to us was $1,000 for initial optimization and $100 maintenance.in hindsight I should have listened to my inner voice screaming at me to "not do it", but I fell for their lines.

They scour the net for businesses, figure out how to reach you and proceed to badger you to give them a try. We already had pretty good rankings in Google, but they assured up higher placement.

The problem began after they charged the $1,000 to my card. For a month nothing was done and were weren't communicated with. Finally we get an email stating that there were customers ahead of us, but that they would get to us someday. Here's what I think they are doing. You only have between 60-90 days to dispute a charge on your card, depending on your bank, if you miss the window you are out your money and you can't do a damn thing to them. They kept putting us off and it dawned on me that they were pushing us out to miss the dispute window. Well we have filed a dispute against them and are proceeding to go after them. For the money we spent we got absolutely nothing.

If you try to email them they will call you and want to "discuss" things with you, but try to get them to put anything in writing. As of this writing they have not returned any of our phone calls, have not acknowledged our cancellation and refuse to answer our emails.

Check out the numerous complaints about them in other forums and with the New York BBB where they have an unsatisfactory rating.

A good rule of thumb is if an SEO company calls and solicits you... Run!!!
