On Friday November 22, I ordered a re-manufactured Olympus C-3000 Z from a sales representative by the name of Marshall (this may or may not be his real name.) I was attracted to this company due to their appealing price$295 for the camera.

Marshall is very skilled and he kept tempting me with bigger and better values and succeed in up-selling many additional items to accompany the camera that I didn't know that I wanted. First, it was a 128 meg memory card, then it was a high speed 128 meg memory card, then it was a high speed memory card reader, then he offered a carrying case and on and on and on. We agreed to two day shipping which means that the camera would arrive at my office on Monday, November 25. This was important in that the camera was to be a gift for my wifeher birthday is November 28.

Next, he wanted to tell me that he didn't think that the re-manufactured Olympus C-3000 Z was the best for my wife that I should have a better one with a full factory warrantynot just the short 30 day guarantee. He said that even though Olympus cameras were pretty good, some of the re-manufactured ones had experienced problems. Also, he explained that his company had a lot of buying power and they had a brand new unit that he would throw for a flat $500.00 with all the goodies. Now we have exceeded $200.00 over what I expected to pay.

Now, the fraudulent activity started.

I had specifically asked Marshall when the unit would be shipped from PcVideoOnline. He said it would ship today, November 22, I would be receiving an email detailing my charges and a UPS tracking number. The email did not arrive as promised and the only communication that has occurred is me trying to get an answer when my camera will arrive.

On Monday, November 25, I called PcVideoOnline and whoever answered said that they could not find my order and Marshall was not in I could however, speak with him after 3 PM about the order. Since I considered the conversation goofy, I called my credit card company on Tuesday evening and found out that PcVideoOnline had charge my card $500.98, remember we agreed on $500.00 flat, if I would take the new Olympus C-3000 Z cameranow they've exceed the agreed on price.

Due to my busy schedule I was unable to call by late Monday afternoon nor or Tuesday, November 26. Please note the camera did NOT arrive on Monday or Tuesday.

I did, however call Wednesday morning, November 27, the day before my wife's birthday. The person who answered could not find my order and transferred me to another man who also could not find the order in his computer. Then he said he was transferring me to the tracking department. After waiting on hold for over 10 minutes the woman who answered had a very foreign accent explained she had to keep referencing two or three computer systems that my order was not there. I asked her nameshe replied Donna. I asked what is your last name she responded Smith, I said that your accent doesn't suggest that your name should be Smith. She just laughed and said that it would take at least two to three hours to research this problem and I should call back between 3 or 4 PM.

When I called back Wednesday afternoon asking for Donna Smith the man said there wasn't a Donna Smith that work there. So, I hung up and called back immediately and asked for Marshall. The man who answered yelled out (very loud, seem like a large room) asking, who is Marshall? After about three to four minutes waiting with Happy Music Marshall answered. I asked, where is my new Olympus C-3000 Z camera with all the accessories? He gave me a story that seemed logical. He said the security department at PcVideoOnline had called me and was unable to verify my address because they got an answering machine. My caller ID indicated no one called from New Yorkall calls had specific telephone numbers attached.

I found Marshall's story strange, when taking the order he read back all the information correctly at the time he was taking the order. Maybe the security department personnel at PcVideoOnline cannot read.

Marshall expressed his sorrow over the fact that new Olympus C-3000 Z camera did not arrive in time for my wife's birthday. However, to make up for the mix-up, he was sending it out today (November 27) and I would have it on Friday, November 29. During the conversation he must have mentioned at least six to eight times that he was sending it Over Night service at his expense.

In my opinion based on my experience - DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY, PC Video Mall or whatever they call themselves today.

I have found them to mis-represent products listed on their website and skillfully do a bate and switch.

If you want a specific product, please find a reputable re-seller. Yes, you may pay just a few more dollars, but you'll receive your product trouble free. DO NOT gamble with your credit card or the desired product at PcVideoOnline. YOU WILL BE TAKEN and you will not receive your product.
