I responded to an ad for Web Design on Craigs List. A guy named Shane Melton came to my office and told me he works quickly and on a budget. He said he was originally from Georgia but moved to Colorado because of the beautiful country out her. He then went on to say that he has a family and would really appreciate any work I could give him and he will start right away.
I paid him $200.

I tried to call him several times after a few days went by and he never answered the phone. He then called back from the Longmont Hospital. Told me that they had just discovered that his cancer had come back and he couldn't talk very long because he was too drugged up from his surgery. He then said they would release him and he would get going on the site.

I let it go because I felt bad for the guy. Then a few months later I came accross his contract, searched him and found that he was a con artist.

Nice.

He is also in the comic book business and computer repair.
