Paid $400 for speedy repairs... Was with out laptop for 2 months

Internet & Web

I purchased a laptop with a $400 extended warranty which covered accidental drop for 4 years. Other promises of the warranty included laptop replacement, speedy repairs, and elevated priority level for said repairs. I received several promise dates from both Circuit City and HP stating that the repairs would be done by a certain date, and if they weren't, I would be refunded the FULL purchase price of the laptop. Those several dates came and past and I was not given a refund. After 2 months with out a laptop, I received my original laptop back with the majority of the screws missing or cross threaded and I could not burn a recovery disc. Circuit City failed to honor their promises as well as HP! I was told that I would be called back over 15 times and only received 2 calls from Circuit City over the 2 months period. After I received the unit back, I got a copy of all of the stores notes, including the summary page which showed that the priority for the laptop repair was still "Low" despite being told SEVERAL times that it has been increased! Poor customer services, poor quality products and incompetent staff!
