Symantec - Norton Anti Virus
Sneaky unauthorized renewal without consent. Unauthorized charge to credit card

Internet & Web

Was given a new computer for Xmas a little over a year ago. With it came a free year of Norton Anti Virus already loaded on the computer.
When the free subscription expired recently I removed Norton from my computer. It was making the computer run too slow.
End of Norton I thought.
Just got my monthly Visa bill and saw Norton billed me $49 while renewing Norton without my knowledge or consent.
Don't know how they got my credit card number to begin with since I never gave it to them knowingly.
Am disputing the charge with Visa, whom the rep I talked to said there are a zillion complaints about Norton pulling this sneaky stunt.
Would of called Norton myself but they charge an outraegous $9 a minute to talk to one of thier foreign outsourced call center reps whom you can hardly understand anyways.
Just say no to Norton. And don't let them get ahold of your credit card number.
