Warranties dont buy!

We purchased a lap top july. We purchased a warranty for the lap top and we told by Jeremy H. (an employee of office depot) that it was a 5 year. We paid 179.99. The lap top crashed feb. Of 2007. We went online to obtain the warranty and were told it EXPIRED!!! We called office Depot and were told it was a 2 yr waranty and the first year overlapped!!! We spoke to the store manager and they said there was nothing they could do!!! I cant believe Office Depot would let their EMPLOYEES LIE and do nothing about it. Now we are out a very expensive lap top. Please do not buy their warranties. THEY ARE LIARS!!! You'll be out an expensive item. We were told the warranty covered everthing from thieft to being dropped. Even if it was our fault!
