Automatic renewal, unauthorized credit card withdrawn Internet New York

I opened my credit card bill today and there was a payment due for $139.96 to Register.com
First of all I do not recall ever using the services of register.com and if i had used their services it was well over a year ago and i no longer have any use for their services as a domain name register.
I called them and they put me on hold where i spent 10 minutes listening to their automated sales pitches about websites and domain names.

Finally a woman came on and either she couldnt help me or was playing dumb, everything i asked her she didnt have an answer for me, she kept putting it back in my lap by asking me ridiculous questions like what was my secret password or what was my favorite artist or book.
I told her i had no idea what she was talking about and that i did not have any domain names registered with them and if i did it was long ago and i no longer need their servcies.

She began telling me that they automatically register my domains and automatically remove the money from my credit card.

I was outraged by this, how dare they take money from my account without my authlorization.
She told me if i didnt lower my voice she would hang up, so instead i hung up on her.

I plan to also report this company to the attorney generals office of my state Arizona and to the attorney general of the state of New York.
My advice to you is to avoid doing any business with this company.
