Scam artist who sells crap on Ebay and keeps the payment when the trash is returned

This is really more a warning to other E-Bayers who have been scamed by a seller and thought they could seek protection from E-Bay or Pay-Pal. Both of those sources are paper tigers and in fact offer no real solutions if you get burned.

I bought a garage door opener (clicker) from what I thought was a reputable seller with 99% positive feedback. When it arrived it would only work if you stood under the opener. Of course I tried other batteries but no luck. The seller, ACTORMAN42, told me to ship it back which I did. A month went by and I heard nothing so I emailed him to complain. That must have upset him so he decided not to return it at all. That was ok with me but the thief kept the $20.95 plus $3.50 shipping!

I wrote a negitive feedback and complained to ebay and paypal but got nowhere. Bottom line is this guy is a petty thief and I accept the loss as a bad investment which I'm sure cost him more than me. I figure it at least one customer a day that reads my feedback and goes elswhere to buy. I hope this helps someone, and remember you can't count on ebay or paypal to get you money back so do your homework and cover your butt when bidding on big ticket items.
