America Online took unauthorized withdraws from account like so many others on this web site! Ripoff thieves! Internet

Okay, I got DSL, not knowing that I would get billed 23.90 for Aol plus ANOTHER 29.90 for DSL service. I figured it was all combined. But that's okay, I'll pay it right?

A few weeks later, while checking my bank statement online, I noticed something funny. Every week there was something deducted by AOL. The least charge was $60.40, and the most expemseive was $90.90. So I called AOL, and the rep tried to (after putting me on hold for 45 minutes) tell me that the 90.90 was prepayment for next month and payment for this month, but that they had no record of taking any of the other 5 charges out of my account. It is now October, and being told that if I faxed a copy of my bank statement, (mind you this was in July) I could get the money refunded. Well, I have yet to see it.

And everytime I called customer service, they would never cancel my service, or let me talk to a supervisor, they just wanted to give me more free AOL account time if I called and cancelled by the certain date. I hate AOL and I think it is the dumbest service. Yeah, and one more thing. After I finally got the service CANCELLED cancelled, they told me all I had to do was click on the AOL icon on my desktop to sign on again and my account would automatically be restarted! Oh boy! I have people in and out of this house all the time, so I tried to delete the icon and the entire program so that no one would click on and start charging my account again. But the funny thing is once you instal it you can't delete it! The system they use to install will not let you totally get the program off the computer. So I just had to put the icon in the recycle bin and hope everyone read my note not to click on it. What a freaking crock!!!
