Msn And Best Buy
RIP OFF ripoff SCAM DECEIVED MISLED fraudulent ripoff business SOUTHFIELD

Internet & Web

I purchased a computer from Best Buy on a Best Buy credit card. They told me that I had a "free" year of MSN and I told them I didn't need it because I already had an ISP I was happy with. All of a sudden I started getting billed $21.95 per month on my husbands credit card which was completely uninvolved in the transaction.

I tried to dispute it with the credit card company and MSN told me TOO BAD!!! The superviser Robert was very rude to me! They also told me that the account was listed as Jake-who is my 4 year old son. I distinctly remember filling out the form and throwing it away.

I can only guess that Best Buy somehow kept a copy without my authorization and gave it to MSN to handle. I never once used MSN because I never wanted it or needed it. Robert from MSN also told me that the reason that they ask for a credit card is so that they can identify you later if you have any kind or trouble with your MSN.

I asked him why he didn't just ask for my social security number like most companies. I can assure you that the person who sold me my computer never told me that the credit card would be for MSN to later bill me or I would never have given him the number. I truthfully do not recall giving him my credit card number, but it seems I did-so I am positive I was scammed into it.

I also have to wonder how they can legally bill somebody elses account for a computer that I bought. I am sick to my stomach over all of the companies that rip people off day after day-why can't they just do good business!!!
