People PC
Tried to fraudulently charge my credit card by guessing at 10 different exp. Dates

Internet & Web

Bank of America called and emailed my wife today to inform her of irregular activity on our credit card account.

Bank of America informed her that People PC (an online company) had tried to "test-charge" our Bank of America credit card account 10 separate times, for $1 each time, and each time they used a different (incorrect) expiration date.

We haven't used that credit card for over a year now.

I have no idea how they got our credit card #. I have never even heard of People PC before today. Thankfully, Bank of America picked up on this and they have shut our account down, and will issue us a new account.

I can only guess what People PC would have done had they managed to guess the correct expiration date. Whatever they would have done, it would have been fraudulent and completely without our permission.
