Fraud on Rebates practices El Paso Texas

Internet & Web

On 08/18/07 @11:07 AM I purchased a Hewlett-Packard DV3420US Laptop from Office Depot at EVERGREEN SHOPPING CENTER, 801 WEST LAKE STREET, Store# 238, PEORIA, IL 61614. Which I paid in full the purchase price of $1295.99 with the sales tax included and the Laptop was on Sale for $1199.99 with a rebate of $150.00 of if sent in before: from rebate form -Mail all documents to: Office Depot Offer #OD6302965 PO Box 752809 El Paso, TX 88575

To receive your $150 mail-in savings you must include the following: 1. The completed mail-in savings form or a copy. 2. The original Office Depot sales receipt (or photocopy) showing the item purchased dated 8/12/07-8/18/07. NOTE: All qualified items must be listed on the same receipt. 3. For online or telephone purchases, you must include a copy of the UPC. 4. Requests must be postmarked within 45 days of purchase date. *Make copies of all documents for your records prior to mailing.

I mailed the necessary rebate with all proof of purchase on Sept. 13,07. I waited 4 weeks and did not receive my rebate so I inquired on it. I called office depot = 1-866-541-0284 and spoke with (Michael) id# 56165 Monday, November 19, 5:57: 11 PM) and he said that I wuold recieve my rebate a week after we spoke on that day as it was being processed.

I called on 12/11/07 from 6 pm CST until 7 pm CST trying to find out why my rebate wasn't send and spoke to this Supervisor at 1-866-541-0284 "Robert Grecco -Supervisor" employee number id: 56333. He said that their records show that I either returned or exchanged the Laptop at which case they could not honor the rebate.

I argued with this Supervisor about me having the Laptop, original receipt and box that it came in and he still said since their system shows it being either returned or exchanged that they cannot give the rebate out to me. I told this supervisor that I can provide definiate proof that I am in possession of the orginal laptop with receipt and original box and that I could provide picTures proving I have the original product and it still did not matter.

I told this supervisor I would never purchase another product from this company as if the like to not honor their rebates or anything to that nature and commit fraud or run scams it is not worth my time to every buy another damn thing from them.
