Bate & Switch Cancelled my order on Cyber Monday, 147 complaints on this site alone

I searched for 3 hours on cyber Monday to find some good deals. I paid with paypal & had money in my paypal account & printed my receipt. Unknown to me, buy.com canceled my order. I waited for over a week & I did not get my order. I went on line to buy.com to track my order. I found no order placed. I went on to paypal they didn't show a record of a request for money. I called buy.com & they located my order, (that would be the one they said I didn't place) and they claimed paypal rejected payment, but wanted to put me through to sales so they could sell me the same stuff at regular prices, I refused the offer. They suggested I call paypal. I called paypal they said they never tried to get payment & no record of such attempt, which they would know about. I called buy.com back & customer support seemed like they were flat liners if you get my drift. I even offered a credit card payment if that would help, they refused. Flat liners again, but eager to transfer me to sales to reorder. I have had about 4 conversations with buy.com at this point, they will not put my order through even though they have no valid reason. My grand children will be disappointed about the DVDs, but some folks enjoy spoiling Christmas for others.

Unfortunately some of these cyber hounds operate by numbers only not customer satisfaction. They could care less about fixing their mistakes its all in the numbers for them. At this point I see 147 complaints that people have logged about this site, that should tell you all something about this company & their business practices. I for one am going to bookmark this site for future reference on who I do business with in the future & it sure won't be buy.com. After reading some of the other complaints & talking with a neighbor who had the same problem with them, I think this must be a common practice with them which is bate & switch. They bate you with the good offers, then switch it out. It is also against the law to my knowledge, but who you gonna call, cyber cops?
