No Service! The business that doesn't give a dam Freemont

I purchased a UMAX Astra 1220U scanner as well as the transparency lid. It performed great for over a year. I then suddenly began experiencing "yellow banding" on my scans. I have written numerous emails to the company as well as a screen capture of my problem.

No answer after 6 months. Going to attempt once more. If no help, will have my attorney contact them. Anyone else have this "banding" problem? Anby solutions? (Since UMAX doesn't care enough to reply!)
