TERRIBLE Customer Service Received empty box NO PRODUCT!

On 09/11 I placed an order at Buy.com for a book. A box that supposedly held my book shipped on 09/12. The box was received on 09/18.

HERE'S THE PROBLEM: The box had been stamped in red "Received Unsealed" by the Post Office. Therefore, when I got the box it was empty (with the exception of the packing slip)!

I proceeded to contact the company by email to report the problem. They said that the package showed "Delivered", therefore they would not replace the book. I emailed them again, that apparently they didn't understand that there was NEVER a book in the box.

I even called their "Customer Support" (I use those words loosely), and ended up speaking with a foreign sounding, very hard to understand guy that rudely asked some personal questions. After telling him my story, he said there was nothing that he could do. That I would have to await yet another email.

I did receive another email that stated: Per company policy: "Title to goods passes to you upon delivery to the common arrier." (http://www.buy.com/corp/legal.Asp). Basically this says that once a product is in transit via the shipping carrier, the ownership and responsibility of the product has passed from Buy.com to
the customer. It is the customer's responsibility from this point forward to make sure someone is at the delivery address provided to accept the package. If no one is available at this address at the time of delivery, the carrier is authorized to leave the package at the door and the order is considered completed at that time.

It became apparent that they were NOT interested in providing true Customer Support or Service or even listening to the truth because the "common carrier" NEVER even received any goods. Much less their customer who WAS at the delivery address to receive the EMPTY box!!!

Honestly, I wouldn't even be surprised if there was never a book in the box in the first place. The tape on the package only extends from the back to one end. It wasn't even on the second end, and didn't even look like it ever had been!

Don't let any "good deals" fool you. I would recommend skipping over this company when searching for products!!!
