Bait and switch, lied to, never shipped product, threatened me with harrassment charge, kept my money! Ripoff

On March 2nd, 07 I went online and viewed their pages. I called Fred Navas and wire transfered $8500. OO US funds to Americas Pride -Acct#xx263. I was told my floor lift and Huth bender would ship in two wks. Never showed. I called. I was told by "Becky" Cust Serv. Mg. You were told 4 wks.

At 3 wks I begged them to send me my stuff. Oh, we don't have THAT lift. I said. Look I'll compromise send me a lift. I got A lift, not what I ordered or paid for and was cheaply made.

At 6 wks and ten phone calls - (7th April) I told the 8th person (that I was lied to by), everyone is gone for the Easter weekend. Then was left on hold for the nth time and hung up on), I called back and said that if I didn't get my money or my product, I was not above driving up there and dealing with it (with Mike Nees owner) face to face. On the 9th of April Mary (bookkeeper) informed me, via e-mail, I was "violent on the phone "and "she didn't understand my anger." further she wrote they would cancel my order (check CAREFULLY! Buried in their web page is a 65% sixty five percent! CANCELLATION "FEE"!) and send me my money in 7 to 10 days". And any further attempt to contact them would "result in harassment charges"

I E-MAILED BACK I WASN'T CANCELING ANYTHING and I still need a bender. Today is 10 and 1/2 weeks, my wife turns 66 next month and this money was borrowed to start a small business to help in our retirement. I have even offered, twice, to accept a couple of bike lifts and a refund 0f the balance remaining monies from the $6500. Nothing, no response.

Today I am pursuing any and all options to bring this to a close. I intend on filing a civil lawsuit and will be visiting with the States Atty in Florida next week to pursue fraud against the elderly charges. I found a previous claim against Mike Nees and AmericasPride Inc. On this site. Nees claims the guy is "trying to ruin his companys good name." He also alleges bait & switch. Whatever, anyone offering for sale what they do not have and then treating pissed customers like crap is not anyones ideal of a good business! Beware
