Hewlett Packard
Ripoff Faulty on/off button

Internet & Web

I purchased a hp tower. Within 1 1/2 months the on/off button "broke". We had to send it back to have it repaired. This happened again 3 months later. Sent it back again and was told by "customer service" to leave it on. What's the use of an on/off button?

When it broke the second time we were told that if it happened a third time we would receive a new tower. Guess what happend the third time it broke. Gee, hard one. They said they had no record of the above promise.
When this happened a fourth time, we demanded a new and different model. Apparently, the one-year warrenty had just run out and we were S.O.L.!!! What we had to do was go to a local computer store and purchase a new tower casing (cover, whatever). It hasn't broken since.
Of course the better business bureau was no help and the hp customer service department was inept. Not only in understanding my problem and resolving it but they couldn't even transfer a phone call correctly. I suppose you all can imagine my frustration when I would call back and repeat my problem all over again. AAARRRRGGGGHHHH! @ Will never again buy a thing from hp!
