I placed an order for a canon digital camera online at "thedigitalnerds.com" and received an email confirmation from the company stating to call them to confirm my order. Upon calling them they said they did receive the order however they quickly switched the conversation into baiting me to purchase an extended life battery to which I refused. They would not accept no for an answer. I reluctantly agreed to purchase a lower end battery to which the sales rep then pushed me to buy the higher end battery for 10 dollars more (a $99 dollar battery??? Highway robbery!!!) and would not take no for an answer. After hanging up I reconsidered my purchase and I was not comfortable with the additional battery. They told me I could cancel the additional battery for a 20% cancellation fee! What the hell? He referred me to their website... But NATURALLY never mentioned this over the phone (how convenient!) We got into an argument to which I then told him to cancel the entire order to which the scumbag stated "whatever... Bye..." and hung up on me while trying to speak. AM I NOT THE CUSTOMER??? I have rights!!! do you even want my business??? After telling them twice to cancel the entire order they continued to charge my card. THEY HAVE NO RIGHT TO DO THAT! When someone tells you no, you don't go ahead and do it anyway, you don't have the person's authorization to do that! I am furious!!! Now I'm stuck with an exhorbitantly overpriced battery which I got suckered into over the phone and an order I could not cancel. I have filed a complaint with the BBB.
