1&1.com Fraudulent Billing After Confirmed Cancellation Chesterbrook

I purchased 1&1 Internet Company's domain name, e-shop, & website builder services on 1/28/07. I cancelled all but one domain name that was hosted through 1&1 and an external domain name that I transferred over to them but was already paid through someone else. I was assured that it was cancelled online and over the phone.

On 5/1 I noticed that I was being charged $44.95 AGAIN by 1&1. I called at 10:50 AM PST both the customer service and billing departments at 1&1. I was told by the representative that my account was never cancelled because it "never went through" and that I needed to cancel it again. She blamed me for it not being canceled due to not responding to an email which I never received. The only message I received was confirmation that it HAD indeed been cancelled. She was very unprofessional.

I no longer even have access to the Website Builder, nor do I use it.in fact, if I wanted to use it, I would have to sign up for the service all over again. So how is it that, she claims, I already am using it? Computers aren't always right. All I wanted was my $44.95 refunded because I cancelled it a long time ago and wasn't supposed to be charged again. The only thing I use are the domain names and email.

Now I want my entire account with them cancelled completely and the $44.95 returned to me and I don't want to see any charges from this company again. I've reported this to the bbb also. I plan on compiling a list of everyone who has had problems with this company also and their complaints and posting it online.
