Misrepresentation of product, fraudulant charges for shipping Ripoff

Internet & Web

I purchased a "book" (Beginner's Guide to grow Dragon Fruit in the home garden) from this company from their website with the understanding that I was paying for a comprehensive, educational book on how to grow dragon fruit. What I recieved was a 12 page, printed for maybe a nickel, pamphlet that was little more than a description of the plant, what people like to do with it, and a list of websites that have more information.

I paid $19.55 for this "book" and it's shipping, (11.95 for the pamphlet and 7.60 for the shipping) it arrived in a plain manilla envelope, hand addressed, with two stamps totalling 63 cents postage on it... What exactly did I pay $7.60 for??? I have written letters that weighed more than this "book".

The pamphlet, including the cover is all of 14 pages, 6 pieces of printer paper, and one printer photo paper stapled together. Of these pages, three are photos that can be found on the internet. On the inside cover it states, "You may have trouble getting a fruit unless you read a little bit more from this book or other sources. To aquire a plant and start a home grown supply, you can contact the sources at the end of this book".

What was the purpose of my buying this if this doesn't give me the information I need? It took me all of 10 minutes to read cover to cover and there isn't a single thing stated there that isn't easily found on the net. I paid less for 700 page fiction novels that were more educational. It would appear that this little more than a hook to get me to spend more money.

Not only is the information in it found easily on the web, it is seriously misrepresented on their site as a book... Speaking of their site, there is no place that I can find to address this issue with them, and if there is, it is well hidden. I would advise anyone dealing with this company to be wary of what they are buying.
