Dont quit your day job trying to get rich quick on Ebay

My husband and I joined dropshipdesign.com about 2 years ago and also opened up an eBay store trying to get rich quick as I learned I was pregnant with twins and would need to earn some sort of income from home while raising twinfants.

At first we noticed what great prices they had. And started doing our homework on eBay to list things and try to make quick easy sales. Problem is, there are so many other sellers on Ebay doing the same thing. But wherever they are getting their merchandise, it seems they can offer the same exact product for a few dollars less than yours, so they make the sales and you dont.

The biggest problem i had with www.dropshipdesign.com seemed to be in their outrageous postage and handling fees. For a simple little plastic soap container to take camping they wanted over $8-9 for shipping on one container, which shouldn't weigh more than 1-2 ounces! I repeatedly emailed the company about why their shipping was so much, and they told me, "most of our customers order in large quantities for retail business so we normally ship these out in large quantities and thats why its so much for only one item"

This to me, was bull because I sat one day and carefully planned around the weight of my order to equal 2 pounds of computer mouse pads, to which they wanted to charge me an extra $15 shipping after my order was placed, shipping calculated per their methods, and paid for. You never hear back from the company, you have to physically log into your account to see why your orders havent arrived.

I did make a few sales on ebay through them, but only made out with about 50 cents profit each time because of competition and listing and selling fees. Products they claim "retail" for over $69.99 like a shower radio are being sold daily on ebay for no more than $15 or they dont sell. So the profits are not much.

Another thing i noticed is by watching ads for local stores in my area, the prices esp. Around christmas time were less than their apparent "Wholesale price" When i emailed them about it, they told me in an email to submit to them the website, item name, number, price, etc etc and they would "look into it." One item, an Ipod nano or something similar, they lowered the price to 30 cents lower than the advertised Walmart everyday low price, and then still had a shipping charge of something silly like $15.

I had a very bad experience with this company, not just with their outrageous prices, but also many orders being cancelled or they would tell me 2 weeks after my customer was suppose to have an item, out we are out of stock if that. We dont have that color in stock. We need more money to ship it.
