At&t, sbc Dsl Rebate rip-off!

I ordered their dsl in august and was told i would receive my $49.99 (that i payed for the modem) back in 4-6 weeks. I have called them several times. Once they hung up on me, another time they said they had no record of me, the next time they said it was being processed, then they said i would receive it in mid december.

Well, i called them today and now they say it will be another 4-6 weeks, at least! The woman said that nobody had done anything with it and she said there are no "notes" on my file. Then she gave me a case i.D. Number, and when i had her repeat it over and it was different. I think she was just making it up.

So i found this website, registered, and now filing this complaint. Another person on here said to call att billing and file a "pending claim" which is what i am going to do tomorrow.

Also, i filed a complaint with the michigan attorney generals office.

When they were just sbc i never had any problems with them. Then they merged with att and they are liars and crooks in my opinion. This complaint does not even address the problems i have had with them concerning my bill, such as being charged for dial up which i dont even have.
