Dreadful order handling ripoff

The day after my order was replaced, the Mercantila website said it would be shipped more than 3 weeks later. I called that day to cancel and was assured there'd be no problem.

The next day, the order status did not indicated canceled, and once again I was assured they were in the process of canceling the order.

The next day, I received an email saying my order had been shipped. I called to have that stopped and was assured there would be no problem.

Two days later, the shipping company called to arrange delivery. I have since purchased this item from another vendor and do not want it from Mercantila. How do you make these people stop?
