Non-payment of Rebate ripoff

OnRebate.com Non-payment of rebate.
My rebate was accepted: "The Rebate was accepted 5/9 8:33: 39 AM" and based on their terms and conditions, I needed to wait 8 to 10 weeks for payment.

In July I contacted them via email and got this response: "Thanks for your email. Your Payment is pending as of 07/11/06. Please allow 8 to 10 weeks as per our terms and conditions to receive your payment. Marcus."

Well their terms and conditions state that payment is 8 to 10 weeks from when they "accept" the rebate, not from the payment pending date.

I waited. Again on October 3rd I sent them another email. This is the response: "Thanks for your email. As per your request your information will be forwarded to the accounting department. If your chose check for your payment type we will need to verify if a previous check was sent and cashed before reissued. If you chose pay pal we will need to contact Pay Pal for further investigation. All reissues will be processed within ten to fourteen days from the reissue date. Marcus OnRebate.com."

The payment is supposed to via check and they are now trying to stall making it appear that they had already sent one out. I have filed a complaint with the FTC and with the Florida BBB and would suggest anyone else that has had a problem with OnRebate.com to do the same.

The original seller of the item that had the rebate was Tigerdirect.com. They told me that I have to contact the rebate company (Onrebate.com).

I am getting tired of all of this and I don't think I am alone. If you search the internet for complaint sites, these two companies (OnRebate and Tigerdirect) are listed repeatedly. All I want is the rebate money that is owed to me.

They are dragging their feet and from what I have read, I am not alone. I think that OnRebate and TigerDirect should not be allowed to do business in the USA.
