To All Software Consumers: Beware!

I purchased Microsoft Office XP Standard for Students and Teachers at a local retail outlet.
When I arrived home I installed the program into my home computers. There-in lays the conflict.

This program will not work on more than one computer. I did the install on all three of my computers for use as a student.
I registered the program with the click of the mouse. Microsoft identified that computer as the one this program would work on. When I tried to register my next computer which I had installed this program into, it would not register the program.

I called Microsoft. The person at the other end said, That program will only work on one (1) computer. Other points that Microsoft told me.
1. The program I installed in my other two computers would shut down my access to it.
2. If I changed the hard-drive or motherboard on the computer the registration recognized I had to notify them.
3. If I wanted to call Tech Support it would cost me $35.00 per hour to get assistance reinstalling programs I deleted when installing this program. I mention this because as you install the product it recommends existing programs that you could/should delete. I could go on, but I want to raise a serious question. Why sell a product that only one computer can use?
The Microsoft XP program is unfair and impracticle.
The general public needs to know what a blatant abuse of power this program reflects. I complained to Microsoft but didn't even get a response.
