I should have known better, and usually do. But was curious and tried this dating site's free 3 day offer. Of course, you have to give them your CC number first. But I know I would cancel within the 3 days, and did so by email as they suggested.

Now imagine that, funny, they never received my cancellation email! Ya, right. What's to keep them from saying other wise? What a sleazy way to drive their numbers. Problem is, no one is afraid of consequences any more. Honesty has no value when compared to wealth. I wonder how much $34.95 per month per person X 10 zillion people is? Who cares if they have to lie, cheat and steal to get it, as long as they get it?
I called the company several times, and finally they said they would refund all the money they withdrew from my account and waited the 28 days. Then when they didn't I called again. They said they will not refund the rest of the money after saying they would.

It's time for the government to get off their lazy butts and start doing the prosecuting they get paid way too much for, even if they were enforcing the law, which they aren't! This company would be a good first effort to make an example of.

And there it is folks, We have an obese bureaucratic government that doesn't even care if rampant fraud is being carried out systematically, and of maybe 40 separate agencies that are responsible for investigating and prosecuting these crimes, not one will even show interest! And that is why we have so many COMPANIES, and individuals alike behaving like Bonnie & Clyde with no fear whatsoever.

Call your congressman! I have many times. Anyway, after complaining and confronting this company on several fronts, they finally agreed to refund all my money. But guess what? They didn't! No surprise there. And the young arrogant punk (Jeff) who answers the phone just keeps saying: "You signed up, and didn't cancel so we have every right to siphon off your bank account, so too bad." Some one ought to take these folks down a dark alley just like the old days. Better yet, exercise our second amendment rights. Then there'd be no more problems.
