Webinvestigator
Fraudulent and deliberate ripoff

I recently registered, and payed via credit card on webinvestigators website.
Like the other reports I saw on ripp-off report about webinvestigator, I too was redirected to a restricted page and could not log in.
Numerous attemps to get help via email to company was fruitless, as I got a canned response each time.
I emailed help twice under sign up issues, and got a canned response telling me to register and pay via credit card etc. And I would gain access, even though I had said in my emails that I HAD paid via credit card and HAD registered.
Evidently the emails aren't even read.
Finally -after 6 days - I sent a letter to billing threatening to turn them in to the BBB and the FBI and anyone else I could think of if they didn't give me a full refund.
I got this in response:
Customer service desk is for technical support use only. We do not have the capabilities to deal with billing issues because you were billed by a third party, please check your email receipt for details. For all billing issues please contact them. Make sure you have the necessary info ready when submitting your support request. Sincerely, Customer Support.
Sound familiar? I sent my complaint to BILLING ISSUES... If billing doesn't handle billing issues who does? BAH!
It is their website I signed up with, yet I get re-directed to someone else, and then am told to complain to THEM. I bet if I complained to them, the would pass the buck to someone else.
And I typed webinvestigator.com is a scam into google, and got some interesting results, including a webinvestigator advertisement, which redirects you - when you go to register - to a totally different website than the website I was redirected to but equally as useless, with the same restricted page.
I also got results associated the name webinvestigator.org that were fake government agencies, that look like the real thing but are spelled wrong, anyone logging on to thos websites complaints wouldn't get to the proper authorities, interesting coincidence.
If you are reading this webinvestigator, I want my money back immediately, or I will turn you in to the appropriate authorities for fraud and theft.
