On March 3 a V2 Premier Desk top Computer was shipped to my residence in New York. Since I was in the process of moving, and already had a Dell and Hewlett Packard computer for use, I did not unpack my V2 Premier until July when I moved into my new residence.

Upon setting up my V2, the Computer would not operate properly so I contacted the v2 premier Tech. Support unit. The First support assistance they gave was to use System Restore / Recovery by utilizing the F Function Key. The computer appeared to function properly, as best as I could tell.

However, during the next 3 to 4 months the computer would begin to shut down and would not reboot for no apparen reason. During this time I was using System Restore, taking the computer back to previous Restore points when the computer performed properly. The computer would perform well for a while, however it continued to shut down with more and more frequency.

On March 4 I contaced V2 Premier Tech support and was told " sorry I can't help you, I see that your one year warranty has expire." I explained to the Tech. That I have not used this computer for a year. He exclaimed that he understood but stuck to the mandra, I see that your one-year warranty has expired.

Consequently, I tried using System Restore but the computer would get progressively, after serveral shutdowns, from 25% to a maximum of 68% restore before it would shut down without rebooting.

After speaking with Viscom Techs (Peter 11, Hung 45, Matt 11 and John 68, several times), I was told that it appeared that the computer was overheating and that was due to a hardware problem (e.G. A defective fan or the CPU unit.) I told these Techs that this was NOT my problem since I did not install the hardware—they did!

Tech, John 68 came to my rescue, so I thought. He said that I can purchase a System Recovery Disk, which I did. After using the disk the computer came back on line. However within a few weeks it continue to shut down for no apparent reason.

When the computer shuts down, I can not get it to reboot by pressing the start button. I have to turn the on/off switch in the back of the tower on/off several times and then on and hope by pressing the button in the front that the computer would reboot. After several tries I can usually get the computer back on line again, but only to worry about when it will shut down unexspectedly.

How brash of tech John 68 to sell me a software restore disk for a Hardware problem. They, V2 Premier got me Again.

Finally, upon reviewing the computer setup I have noticed that when the Current System temp. Reached 42 degres Celsius max, and the CPU Temp reached 93 degrees max, the computer shuts down. The Case Fan speed remained a O RPM.

In closing, I brought this computer becaused I liked the features as It was touted on Shop NBC (another Minnesota Company).in my experience, as the V2 Premier was advertised, and how it performs were not the same. I brought the V2 Premier for all the Bells and Whistles that were touted on Shop NBC, and not for the Clang and Wind for which is my reality at present. P.S. I wrote Jim Peterson, President, Viscon Tech Grp on May 8 To date, Aug 16 he has not responded.
