ILD Teleservices, ripoff phone scam fraudulent desceptive trade practices recording manipulation

ILD Teleservices contacted me at my business and stated they were updating phonebook information and needed me to confirm my business name, address and phone #. The ILD Teleservices Rep said that every reply that I made needed to be either yes or no. (example - Is your business name _ _ _ _? Yes. So on.) The ILD rep started talking about internet website prices and I told him that I didn't want a website and he got upset with me and said that he had to start over because only yes or no answers were allowed.

We started over with the name and address info and he got to the website info and I once again said I didn't want the website and he got upset with me once again. The yes or no questions that he asked seemed to try to trick me into committing to the website service so I kept repeating that I did not want the service. I got fed up and hung up.

On my next phone bill I had 2 charges from this company made 2 minutes apart, 1 for 49.95 and the other for 69.95. Not knowing what this was, I called the phone company and questioned the phone co rep about the charges and she seemed to agree it was a scam so she took it off and put some kind of a block on the account so no one could charge without my permission. She told me that I could reach this company at the phone number on the back of my statement.

I called ILD Teleservices Inc and spoke to a young male who had a very difficult time repeating my phone # that I had to give him in order to look up the information. Once he came back on the phone after putting me on hold he said that I authorized the website service and he had a recording of me doing so. I then requested to hear the recording. He played it for me. I remembered it and told him that is not what I said and that what I said was taken out of context and or manipulated. I told him that I had it removed from my phone bill and he said that he send it to collections and it would go on my credit. I told him that I would dispute it. A few choice words were said and I hung up.
