RIPOFF Disabled promised 10,000 to start business

Internet & Web

I am a Christian lady who gets disability and I saw an online ad to make extra income. Because I was in need of extra income, I decided to click on the advertisement. A week after I filled out the application the phone calls began.

First a man called and then a woman called. She told me her name was R.C. From Startup Essentials. She said that my name came up about starting a business and they do not talk to everyone, they only communicate with people who have good potential and she implied that I was special to them.

R.C. Told me that basically her whole family and most of her friends made millions from using Startup Essentials. She and I talked on the telephone for over an hour if not more. She told me that they would give me $10,000 to start the business and I did not have to have any money up front. She told me that she knew I did not have any money, which was the reason why I contacted Startup Essentials.

R.C. Told me I had to have a checking account by 12 noon on July 13 or else they were going to pass the opportunity to someone else. She explained to me that the reason why I was opening the account was so the company could deposit $10,000 into it. I borrowed 50 dollars to open up the account at the N.C. Credit Union.

She continually called me on my cell phone and told that when I got back to the house, to call her and she would call me back and we would get on the computer and we would do the rest of the transactions by computer. I explained to her that I did not know too much about computers and I wasn't a good reader and I really needed someone else to help me. She told me that she was going to help me.

Basically, I did everything she told me to do. As soon as I finished with what she told me to do, she said, "Hold on Gail, my supervisor will come and verify it." After this, she began to tell me that I couldn't back out of the transaction and someone else would get in touch with me and to call her back when the laptop came, it will be instructions in the box.

I have not spoken with her since. On the 24 of July the lap top came. I was advised not to receive it. However, my daughter signed for it unknowningly.

July 31 I received a contract in the mail from A-1 Leasing, LLC stating that I chose a lease plan for 48 months with monthly payments of $138.76 which would be debited from my account on the 9th of each month. Written in the contract it clearly stated that the lease was non-cancelable.

I do not know what to do. Please somebody help me!
