Internet & Web

To whom it may concern.

I recently signed up for AOL's 90 day free trial, but since the apartment I moved into has free wireless, I discovered I didn't need another internet connection and called to cancel. I never even used AOL to go online once.

Upon request for FULL cancellation, I was told that would be no problem and as a bonus I could keep my user name free of charge. I made sure ask several times and make sure that I would NOT be charged for anything, to which I was told no I wouldn't.

I had no real reason for the address, but didn't see any harm in it either. This is where I was wrong. While looking at my credit statement I noticed that AOL had charged my account $25.90 for the first months fee. Keep in mind I initially singed up 7/19/06 and cancelled 7/22/06 and made sure I would not be charged.

Upon calling AOL again and requesting a reason for this I was told that by accepting the free e-mail I would still be charged my initial monthly fee and the I "should have" been told that.

I explained I was never told this and wanted a full cancellation and refund to which I was told I could not get one because "I" had forgone all rights to one.

I asked to speak to a supervisor and was told they could not do anything and was never able to speak to one.

I feel that this was very deceitful of AOL and in all essence they LIED and STOLE from me.
