April 2 my wife wanted to play a game on Pogo.com called Lottso. But it won't play on just any computor anymore. You have to pretty much have the right java installed or the AOL web browser and system. So she started signing up for the 90 day trial. The 1st page says you will not billed till the 90 days is up. You get to the 2nd page and boom. You've already enetered your credit card information. I saw $19.95 plus $99.95 and three plans to choose from with the lowest being $39.99 a month. I said whoa dear its a hustle. They already got your credit card number. Within 2 days they'll be taking money from the account. So when signing up for AOL think twice. I automatically called on April 2 like 5 minutes after realizing it was a new business hustle. They said it was canceled. We would not be billed. April 3 thier already drawing money from our account. I figure the total will close to $160. I called today April 3 asked how they did this unauthorized after we cancelled day before. Was'nt suppose to come out for 90 days. They said read the fine print. I did and it says no charge till 90 days. But surcharges may be added. How do we get our money back? Thier reply you'll have to wait upto 90 days. I know usacomplaints.com is'nt big enough for this one nor is the BBB. I'll have to take this one to the federal trade commission and file a charge with the attorneys general office. Just beware of AOL. Your paying the cost of thier recent and past lawsuits especially the one with the microsoft java problem.
