EA Downloader crashes on launch, Battlefield 2 expansion refund refused

EA Games markets Battlefield 2 (BF2), which I have. They offer two "expansion packs" for BF2, but they are only available for download. The only way to download them is with their specific "EA Downloader" program. I paid for the expansion pack, downloaded and installed their "EA Downloader" program. It crashes as soon as you click the icon. I can never download the expansion pack.

I contacted EA "support" via their website. It took several days to get any response from them. When I finally did, they keep giving me cut and paste answers that did not address the problem I am having. They did this repeatedly so I asked them to just refund my money. They will not.

To be completely clear here. They MUST be able to see that I have NEVER been able to download the expansion pack. There is no way I am ripping them off as they completely control the system. I just want my money back. They are likely doing this to plenty of other people too.
