AOL America Online
Stop sending me software I don't want! Buyer beware and read the fine print! Ripoff

Internet & Web

Ever since I cancelled my membership with AOL about a year ago they continue to send me their software in the mail trying to re-gain my business. I have called the company on a number of occasions requesting to be re-moved from there mailing list and call list. They still don't have a clue and send me there useless software. Don't use AOL on your computer because it will make your computer worse.in fine print in there software package it states the following..."AOL may optimize some of your computer settings to enhance your experience on AOL."

AOL has a interesting billing system. Make sure to read all the fine print especially if you are considering signing up for one of there so-called "90 Days risk-free" deals. Also beware of the famous selling trick they use by advertising "New features included! No credit card required!" Byer beware, when you install the software to activate your product you have to give AOL a credit card number.

Do not give AOL any personal information. You will never get off their list and their billing department is terrible.

I am happy with my DSL connection and will never go back to dial up service.
